Default My Intro

Hi, I'm Jerry Jackson from San Antonio. I retired in '98 from a career as a physicist. I live on an airpark and have a 3000 sq. ft. hanger in my back yard. The front 2000 sq. ft. is a hanger and the back 1000 is walled off for a shop.

I do some woodworking but that work is declining. Most of my efforts are going into restoration of a 1940 Aeronca. It is a ground-up restoration and I am having to learn gas-welding, TIG welding, English wheel work. I really needed a tutor for the E wheel but I could not find anyone local and had to suffer through the self-taught ordeal.

I have some good equipment---an HP wheel, a Miller 200DX TIG machine,
table saw, joiner, plane, band saw, ect.

I have finally satisfied with a new cowling and am fitting it to the airplane and engine right now.

I really appreciate the good advice that shows up on this site.
