I am new to metal shaping. I started my working life as a Fitter & Welder and have been involved in metal all my life. Currently building stainless steel bag-in-box fillers for a living. I must be a one dimensional character as I work with mechanical things in my spare time!. A couple of weeks back I entered a custom Ducati I have built up in The Festival Of Italian Motorcycles and won best Custom Bevel category, an second in peoples choice.

I made some fiberglass bodywork for the bike from a polyurethane buck I hand shaped. Thats where I thought" Would,nt it be great to beat this out of ally sheet, probably a deal less smelly too!"

I recently took a one day course with Peter Tomasenni in basic stretching and shrinking. Got a huge benefit from the course.

My lifelong passion has been motorcycles, having owned 20+ in my 50 years. My plan is bodywork, leading up to a fuel tank. Walk before I run.

Have purchased some very basic tools.....so am on my way!!
