Default Greetings from The 'Snard

Hey Guys. Good to meet you. My Name is Victor and I'm from Oxnard Ca. Growing up I liked two thing, Comic books and Hot Rods. I was lucky enough to get hired right out of high school and began a 17 year career in the art world. I jumped around from comics and illustration to sculpture and casting. Once the recession hit- the art stopped. People just didn't want to pay for traditional illustrators anymore and seemed to want everything digitally- well me and computers don't jive so I figured it was about time for a change and I started pursuing that second love and jumped into fabrication. I've spent the last year learning from anyone and everyone that will give me the time and opportunity. It's been great. tI've taken some basic machining and welding courses and have to say- nothing beats being in the shop and building something. It really is an entirely new art field and I'm diggin it. I can't wait to pick your brains. hope you don't mind too much! Thanks.

Hello Vic. I loved comics when I was a kid but I never could draw so I am stuck with doing this metalwork stuff lol. Welcome to the site I am sure you will find lots of information on here.
