Another Desert Dweller
Allow myself to introduce.....myself.. I'm John from Chandler, Az. I've been a firefighter for 27 years and run a small business on the side called Gear Head Customs from a shop behind the house. I build custom beach cruiser bikes and bike parts mainly and play with everything else. I'm self taught at general fabrication and I've pretended to be a metalshaper once or twice. I hope to read and soak up enough knowledge that next time I do, it will actually be the shape I intended it to be!
Working alone allows me the opportunity to make the same mistake over and over so its really important to have an opportunity to read and share what I can, both to speed up my learning curve and return the favor for others in the same boat. Thanks for having me.

Welcome John. Having experience on tap can save students huge hours , depending ... Stubbornness is two-edged: at once sustaining efforts to success - yet also limiting mental openness ... to positive alternatives. wow that's amazing work! I try to remind myself there's a difference between 20 years of experience and 1 year 20 times and to try new stuff to prevent that
