Hi all, I live on the beautiful Gold Coast where the humidity is a constant battle with my tools and machines.
I started in my early forties learning to weld and machine at the local technical college when I lived in the country in northern New South Wales. I have a couple of welders, a lathe and a mill. I'm interested in learning how to shape metal. I've bought a couple of books by Ron Fournier. I've built myself a press from Steve Smith's The Racers Guide to Fabricating Shop Equipment. I look forward to learning masses of stuff from All Metal Shaping as I have from many other forums in the US. Best wishes.

Welcome cobber!
May I suggest that you buy the instructional DVD's on metal shaping from David Gardiner; and Peter Tomassini. Both of them frequent this website and their DVD's are an inspiration, as well being superb instructional tools, Cheers Charlie |
