Default Merry Xmas from the heart of England

Hi guys! My name is Thoko and I live in a little village just outside of Leicester, England. I have this crazy idea that one could reskin a new car and give it design cues from an old, more beautiful form. I have been around several engineers in Leicester who have plainly told me I will go bankrupt if I persist with this idea. After days of searching on the net and sending random emails to strangers, I found this forum. I hope to link with some of you and maybe learn metal shaping and do this myself. So here is to hoping my dream comes alive.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I plan to rebody a modern car with old panels-a mix of old car panels and some made by myself. My initial thoughts are on this facebook page:

This is a bit too complex for my skill set. So I will first of all start with a modest rebody of an E39 BMW touring with the front end and back detail of a BMW E9. Wish me luck!!
