Default Greetings and salutations

Hello, all. My name is Dan...I live in Pittsburgh, PA, and am seeking out some metal-mangling skills as an antidote to the soul-crushing hours I spend in front of a glowing screen.

I've done a bit of welding in the distant past (certified plate 10 years ago, haven't done much since then), and have recently been making various toolboxes.

Here's a couple albums documenting a case for some bicycle frame tools I'm currently working on:
Part 1
Part 2 (just a couple of shots of the hardware test-fit to the case)

And an earlier box, based on plans from Dave Gingery's sheet metal projects book.

Down the road, I hope to do some light fabrication as a side business; I already powdercoat bike frames, but would like to offer custom tool cabinets and recumbent bicycle parts as well someday.

Welcome aboard Dan

Beautiful job on the tool boxes. I too have enjoyed getting my hands dirty again.
Don't be scared to post and ask questions. I sat back as an obsever for too long. There is so much skill, knowledge, and advise on here!
Secretly I think the "teachers" here get a kick out of actually passing on their knowledge and skills. Make the most of it.

Cheers John

Thanks for the warm welcome, all.

I'm just going through the amazing amount of information on the site now; once I get a better feel for what's here, I'll be posting plenty of questions, and hopefully a few projects as well.
