Default Sam from Australia

Hi Everyone,

I'm a novice / hobbyist.

I hope to further my knowledge and skills in metal shaping .
Its very difficult to find any courses or formal after hours training down here so whatever I know is self taught. (which probably isn't much anyway )
I'm hoping this forum will be help me progress in these skills

Sam

hi everyone - thanks for the Welcome

Mark, I'm in Greenvale near Tullamarine

I've got a couple of old Alfa romeos, and I'm currently trying my hand at restoring one of them.

By Brother-in law had an heavy engineering business, so as a kid I would do odd jobs there, I learn a lot working for him all those years ago, but it was mainly heavy stuff like gates, fences, trusses , building frames etc.

I'm reasonable at welding light gauge car panels , but when it comes to the shaping side of things , I'm not very good (yet).

I also notice that Peter Tommasini is on these forums. I've been a fan for ages. I heard he runs courses / seminars?, I may have to look into those

all the best
Sam
