Default Vic Australia new guy

Hi guys!

Hope this will tick the boxes,

My names Jarrad from Victoria in Australia, and spend every chance I get in my garage working on stuff. The never ending list of stuff.

Growing up I have been around motorcycles since my first steps thanks to the old man and have had a love of all things mechanical since.

My interests have alternated between motocross, speedway, minibikes, road racing, drifting, imports, 4wds and everything in between.

Lately my workshop is getting quite capable, I have been addicted to the tig for a couple of years and still loving it more everyday.

A big item on my "stuff" list is my fj40 landcruiser. I have been working on it solidly since december and have made a good deal of progress. Cutting and patching rust has been the biggest killer of time but has been fun none the less.

Being part of this site would be great, I love hassling people who have forgotten more than i know. Id love to show off my work if you give me the chance. My instagram has a few pics of some of the work @jps1988

Thanks for your time guys, Jarrad Smiley

thanks guys, im in keilor near the airport

My hammers turned up in the post today, I got 4 sykes-pickavants for a fair price, they need a fair bit of love though. whats the best way to clean the faces? Ive linished sanded and polished my cheap china set but im guessing the profiles on these are set from the manufacturer? I dont want to mess them up any more than they are now. Im pretty sure they have only been lightly if at all used but have gotten a bit rusty.

thanks guys
