Default New guy from Central Wisconsin

Hello everyone,

New to the site. My name is John L. Draxler from Hewitt in Central Wisconsin. I have been working on old cars, Thunderbirds mostly, since I was about 10 years old with my dad. I went active duty Army in 1988 and returned home in 1996. I worked in the family business founded by my Grandfather, now owned by my Uncle as a Collision Repair Technician and worked my way to Body Shop Manager. Collision work was fun but I found my true passion was old cars and restoration work so in February 2013 I opened my own restoration & custom shop. My dad and I now work together once again. I am currently working on a 61 Chrysler 300G, 69 Thunderbird, 61 Thunderbird Convertible, 55 Buick Special and a 63 Lincoln Convertible, all of which are frame off restorations. I joined Allmetalshaping.com to share knowledge, gain insight to better my skills and ask a lot of questions. This past year I have attended two meets and was overwhelmed with the talent and skill I saw demonstrated by the other attendees.
