I have been a machinist since 1958 and love tools. I never got much chance to play with sheet metal until the last few years. I have made my own E-wheel and air planishing hammer. Next project is a pretend Pullmax. I have several old cars "in waiting". Next in line is a 63 Falcon conv. One reason I joined this forum is because of the professionals here like David Gardiner and others. I'm sure you can help me, and hope I may be able to contribute occasionally. I'm not used to this format. It may take a while. Ron W

Ron,welcome to AllMetalShaping, thanks for joining us. Being a machinist will help a lot in building the tools and tooling that you use in shaping metal. Thanks for joining us.

Mmm. can I come and live with you - you have the space after all! I will bring my tools.
You have most of what you need to do a lot of work I only got a pullmax a few years ago I did it all by hand and with basically what you have there before that. ( plus a folder (brake)) . learn to form stuff by hand first and the machines will make a lot more sense.
