Hello, I come from Sosdala in south of Sweden. I have been working with cars for many years. I want to learn more about metal shaping to be able to make a nice ratrod. I donīt have any car yet, but I want to be prepared when I can find a good objekt. Probably it vill be a Volvo Duett. I donīt think there is not many of those in the states. It is a station wagon, that were built from 1955 (about) to 1969. What differ this Volvo from the rest is that it has a frame. This makes it much esier to modify the body.

Welcome Krister. When you do the Duett build please post a thread as I'd be very keen to see how it goes, they're a funky old car. I like old Volvos, I have an Amazon Kombi and a P1800E. I'd also like a PV but I haven't got time for another car at the moment.
Maybe my Amazon isn't your style as it's not a rat rod but it puts a smile on my face and is fun to drive. Cheers, Mitch

Krister,
My brother had a Duett here in Oregon it was marketed here as a PV-445. There may be few only of them here but they are a nice car. I was the mechanic(ish) in the family and after a carb fire rebuilt the carbs with Ford float valves, and during an engine rebuild put in new exhaust valves also from a Ford. Nice car, I'd like to see pics as you get into it.
