Default Erskine 5 window coupe

I am building a 1930 Erskine coupe street rod that I have owned since the mid 70's. I sold my last street rod in 1995 to finish my oldest son's 72 Chevelle. I have done cars for my 2 son's since then. I retired in 2007 and now it is my turn to have a street rod again. Being it is a Erskine I knew I was going to have to make most of the needed repairs myself and I want to do this car better than any of the other ones I have done. I found out that Dan Pate, who I have known since the seventies, lived near me and was doing metal work. I started attending his gatherings and have been learning about metal shaping. I have made several pieces for the Erskine and it is progressing, but not as fast as I would like. I hope to drive it this summer in primer with the chassis painted and finished. I can't thank Dan, Leo, Joe and Richard enough for all their help. :-)

Dave, welcome and thanks for the introduction. Hope you find the site enjoyable and helpful. Thanks for joining us. Going to one of the metal shaping events at Dan's will greatly reduce the time it takes to learn how to make the metal move where you want it.

I never even heard of an Erskine until I saw yours at Dans. It's a cool car! Good seeing you posting up an intro. Get some pictures up. The rear panels you and Leo made were nice! You should post some pictures of the top that's been giving you fits. Maybe someone here will have some ideas for you.

Good to see you cracked the code. Thanks again for all your help in preparing and cleanup after .It takes good freinds to pull these things off. You should be quite happy in your progress with the coupe.
