Thumbs up Huge HI from Down Under!

Hi everyone, I am Matt and live in a tiny little town in the west of Victoria (Australia).

I am new to metalshaping and about to commence a full Restoration / Modification of my 1962 EK Holden, and therefore need to learn a lot to make this project successful. I have decided to learn and do as much as possible myself rather than pay someone else to do it for me, that way although it may not be perfect, I will have gained the skills for life, and the pride of my work in the vehicle.

I also love to see the genius of some of the creations and tools used on here and what can be achieved.

I found this site by searching for information on how to repair rust / make vehicle panels.

Looking forward to hanging out with you guys!

Cheers
M@

Hi Matt,

Welcome to the forum. It's good to know that I'm not the only one on here to live in a tiny west Victorian town in Australia!

Thumbs up

Howdy Matt,
Where r u in Western Vic?
I'm just over the border in Keith.
My mate/part timer is into Holdens's in fact he's currently building an EK for the Salt.
Your welcome to come over & check out our shop, lots of metal shaping happens there.
Currently in Barmera for the Hot Rod Nats, but we'll be back on deck next week (if we can ever drag ourselves away from all the cool cars that is)

Hi all, thanks for the warm welcome!

Living out in Charlton, about an hour west of Bendigo, total population (after last years floods) around 550 give or take.

Rocket will definately have to catch up, not too far for a cruise in the EK sedan daily driver, would love to check out the Salt Shaker lol

EnR, I know of quite a few into Old cars around western Vic, most though are into buy it not build it LOL

Mr Tommasini, now there is a name I have heard of (and have your videos for inspiration)

Looksl like there are a few Aussies on this site - that is great news and look forward to catching up with some.

Off to check the newest posts!
