Default Defender Chassis is in the house

Team,

I was referred to this site by someone on garage journal. While here I hope to pick up some metal shaping talents that I have yet to fully develop. I hope that I will also be able to pass along some knowledge at the same time. I am an engineer by trade and am lucky enough to make a nice living doing so. I have a side business call Defender Chassis, hence the screen name. Defender Chassis does work on race cars, mostly drag cars. I am lucky to have been able to acquire what I consider a nicely tooled shop for the type of work my business does. My hope is to someday build a 245" dragster from the ground up and set a personal record of 200mph in the 1/4 mile. Not sure what else to add except if you need something don't be afraid to ask.

Scott, welcome to the site and thanks for the introduction. I lived in Ravenswood for 13 years. Hope the site fits your needs. Thanks for joining us.

Joe,
Thanks for the welcome. Did you work for the aluminum plant in Ravenswood?

That is where I worked. Also did a lot of racing with Hemmy Adkins with the AMX. Do you know him?

I do know who you are talking about. Not sure I ever met him face to face but I recognize the car and name. Small world I guess.
