Default Hello from Northern Illinois

Hello All:

This is Big Jim from Northern IL and I have been around metal meet and such for quite sometime. I see things have been rearranged a litlle and I am reengaging. I am a streetrodder and have been same for 30 plus years. I own a 34 chevy 5 window coupe with over 230,000 miles onit. currently building a 35 chevy 2 door sedan with a fuel inlected 409 for a power plant. Body mods include steel tubing the structure (removing the wood framework) and filling the roof with a 84 Volvo stationwagon roof. I TIG and MIG weld steel and stainless steel, (no aluminum, my pacemaker doesnt like the high freq AC signal) and am LEARNING metalworking.

Ive been to metalmeet in Oblong twice, and like I said just rying to reengage.

More to come.

Big Jim

Hi Jim, Are you the guy that had the motor home parked in front of the fairgrounds office 3-4 years ago?

Default Motor Home

Kerry,

I am afraid not, I am thinking you are refering to Chaz that was with Rusty that was chopping the top on a early 50's shoe box in the main building.

No, I'm building a 35 chevy 2door sedan that has a 409 for a power plant. I was down at metalmeet trying to get up enough nerve to start into the metal work on this car. The 2 photos attached will give you a little tast of what Im doing.

Didn't you have a motor home or big 5th wheel. Use a cane? Have a couple ewheels, one MetalAce floor and a bench?

Doesn't matter...just trying to put a face with a name.
