Greetings from the Atlanta area.
Newbie metal shaper looking to learn to form my own patch and replacement panels on old sportscars. I've been around British cars, specfically Triumphs, since I was a little boy riding in my Dad's GT6. I had a TR6 in HS, and a '58 TR3 while my wife and I were dating. So, a long time. I'm solid on the mechanical side of things, engines/transmissions/suspension/and electricals. But I've always had to shop out any body repairs. I'm at a point now I can learn the skills to do this myself and hopefully to a higher standard than most "collision" shops would be able to do since my time is billed at zero hours and I'm willing to spend as much as it takes to make it right. I just started a 1955 TR2 project that has rust in all the usual places, and dents and dings in every other place. Just about every panel will requre some minor to major surgery. I've kick started myself by signing up for a 5 day 1-on-1 class in April. I'm here to learn as much as I can, so thanks in advance for any tips and advice. Robby
