Hello,
My name is Tony and I live in Battle Ground, Washington which is located just north of Portland, Oregon. I've been an enthusiast of everything mechanical since I was a kid. I've worked as a heavy equipment mechanic in the military, as a machinist for ten years at a company that manufactures rock crushing, coal pulverizing and car shredding wear parts and machines. During my time as a machinist I rebuilt a very large King vertical turret lathe, machining and scraping in both rams and the bridge. I also machined several machine pieces including shafts, lead screw nuts and various bushings. My next career move was into law enforcement which is where I have have been for over twenty years. Over the years I have collected an assortment of machines and tools which I have used as a hobbyist in my garage. I believe that we as humans are always learning and striving to better ourselves in the endeavors that we pursue, that is why I want to join this forum and to continue to learn the art and science of metalworking. Thank You
