Who I am:
Joe Hest of perley, MN I spent a couple years as a professional fabricator, I only quit because I do not believe in half rate work. I am a 5th generation farmer, I currently live on the land that all of my ancestors livedo on (in the US). I started working on small engines when I was 7 years old. Quickly progressing into cars. My first project was a 65 chevy pickup. When I started working on cars almost daily, I quickly moved towards the fabrication side of things. At 17 I saved my money from harvest to buy a miller tig welder. Now as I move towards the future I dream of pettingell hammers and purely well built vintage equipment. From a young age I was instilled with pride and that quality is the only thing that matters. I enjoy build patch panels that are perfect as apposed to buying Chinese garbage. I do welding or the some most important guys in local car culture. I am still technically a teenager, I've stayed up days on end to complete projects. Hard work attracts me, and I will never stray from a challenge. My junk: My 65 c10 which is still under construction has received more of my heart and soul than anything. I have hundreds of hours in cad creating 1 off pieces that I believe should be on there. I have redone the floor 4 times now, because perfection is the only thing that will suffice. 41 Chevrolet cab over: it was used by a local farmers for 40 years before it sat for another 40. I got it from his son, and I don't think I could ever find another one. It's is quite destroyed so I should get to spend many hours rebuilding it from flat steel. 49 chevy pu 36 chevy 2 Dr 55 chevy pu 59 apache- I plan to entirely recreate from aluminum 67 camaro 72 gmc I lI've for the details, and hope to 1 day become the best shaper I can.

Welcome to the forum, Joe.
I grew up milking Jerseys in VT, just a few miles from where my great, great...great grandfather was murdered in 1780 by raiding Indians from French Canadian territory. Then we move the cows to SC. Miss the cows, not the hours, and hate seeing that way of life go away. Now I work in stone like the other side of the family and totally understand not wanting to do half rate work, no matter what the job is. There's some amazing talent and ability here.
