I have been a metal fab/ construction millwright for over thirty years with an interest in the artistic side of the business. I have done quite a bit of ornamental iron work and some pretty fancy brake press work but have no experience with hammering sheet metal into compound curves. A friend of mine is a member of this site and has fabricated his own car body ( it looks great by the way) and said this site was very helpful and informative. So here I am to enhance my skill set and with a little hard work perhaps a Cafe styled gas tank for my 84 GPZ.

You'll have to share some photos when you get going on your Kawasaki. There's a few of us motorcycle people here.

Hi Doug and Welcome.
![]() I used to have a GPZ 750 Turbo, until I crashed it, going round a corner at 40kp/h. Road workers just layed some nice loose gravel after the corner. I did $3000 damage, I sold it after I had it repaired. The insurance was a killer. Awesome bike though. I have now a ZX6R - VFR800 as well Moto Guzz 850 LeMans. All the best with your GPZ Cheers John
