Default Reminder

We have quite a few new members and few people read the rules (http://www.allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=5) so a reminder is in order. First, if you haven't read the rules, please do so. It will only take a minute.

This site is for ALL METAL SHAPING. We don't want to turn into a big chat forum like some other groups have.

This means appropriate topics are metal shaping and related subjects only. Talking about other subjects (suspensions, radiators, paint, avionics, etc) as it relates to a larger documented build is fine but not as a stand alone thread. We don't want to be hard cases about it but once it starts, it's difficult to stop as we've all seen elsewhere.

For folks who want to ask the group off topic stuff, you can utilize the social groups under the community pull down on the menu bar above. Here is a link: http://allmetalshaping.com/group.php?groupid=1

We thank you for joining AllMetalShaping.com and encourage you to post metal shaping content and related questions you might have.

Chris, you are correct unless it is made out of metal and you want to shape it. You can talk about it in a social group but not on the main board. Thanks.

I think I may have strayed off metal shaping a few times, so maybe I should delete or have them deleted so new comers don't stray off on my already strayed.

No need to delete anything Steve. Just a gentle reminder of the core focus. We're not going to be hard cases about it unless folks start trying to make this a chat group...

Yeah, we're not total hard-liners, but we would like to stay true to the core focus of the group. We know and understand that a group of friends sometimes wish to share more than just one common interest, but at the same time, we don't want to get too far off-track all the time. That is why we made the "Off-topic Topics" group in the social groups.

The most important thing is to have fun!
