Not my idea I just copied them from something I saw.
They are good if you don't mind having a gap in your panels
but I like to have zero gap when I weld 2 panels together
so I use these skin pins with a small plate on one or both sides.

Panel clamps

Skin pins with small plates

Hope that helps.

Awesome! Very helpful. Thanks for the info, Scott.

Default Drivers side door top jig saw puzzle and lots of holes to fill in.

Working out were to cut door frame off.

Time to fill some of the holes in.

I had to make a part to fill in the 60mm gap in the door top.

Profile gauge from aluminium sheet.

Top tooling to form part.

Bottom tool.

Practice part only about 20mm long.

Folded edge to guide sheet through form tool.

1st pass through form tool.

About the 5th pass.

Folding the outside edge up by hand.

Finished part not trimmed to length yet.

Part welded in.

Lots of cuts had to be made to match the top of the door frame to the bottom of the door after taking 114 mm out.

Filling the outside gap in and welding the frame together.

Top completed.

Time to get rid of the pesky holes from some one putting a truck mirror on.

Last 2 holes

Finished for now onto the passengers side.

Nice attention to detail there.

Wow, that makes it even more impressive! I thought you were using a Pullmax or similar.
