Well done Jack.
Just knowing it was selected is an honour.

Well, darn. I would have enjoyed seeing this car in person. Where else might I see it? Shades of the Past?

BTW, Congratulations!

I’ll hit one local outdoor show July 3rd then Columbus July 9th and that’s it. I’m not that big on car shows. I’d rather spend a day at a drag strip.

Jack, Words seldom fail me but in this case, I'm just stunned by your accomplishment.

Thank you for taking the time to document your journey. It has been an amazing master class in no only how to build an amazing custom but in how to persevere through challenges, setbacks, and life.

Tip of the hat my friend. Tip of the hat.

Did you fix your spongy brakes issue?
I take it you are running the ABS pump from the donor?
On my Willys I ran a routine in the software to specifically bleed the ABS pump and follow a bleed sequence that it told me to do. Did you do something similar?
Some just jamb the brakes on really hard in a road test to force the pump to activate which will then release air pockets and then you re-bleed.

I did exactly that. My ABS module is hung up. The voltage is good but one of the plungers isn’t working. I had an internal leak, a sinking pedal. There are only two components in the system that can leak without leaving a puddle, the master cylinder and the ABS module. I disconnected the brake lines to the master and plugged the master then checked the pedal: rock hard and constant. Then put a scanner on and kicked anABS trouble code. I’ve got a new one ordered. Possibly from being apart for so long either I got a piece of crud in there or some oxidation. Not sure, but I can’t trust it so it’s gotta go. It seems like no matter what I do, I always end up thrashing in the end.

Where will you be at Columbus? I'd love to see your car. I assume you will have it with you.

I have no idea where I’ll end up. Since I’ll be getting there on day 2, I doubt that I’ll get a good spot. Whatever is available I guess.
