Thanks for the comments and following along with our progress.. Have a few dust nibs/defects to buff out and we'll get this installed tomorrow..

This past Friday night we cut and buffed the F7 hood to get rid of some dust nibs, and Saturday morning Jared and I started to reassemble the hood. The horn wiring had some dry and cracking insulation sleeving, so it was replaced as well.

John stopped by mid morning and we got all the parts put back together and adjusted. Looks much better with the hood back on, John has been driving without one for a couple months.

All ready for the Tri-state Antique Truck Show this week in Clear Brook VA..

That looks like a winner in my book !! What a fantastic restoration. If you did the rest of the truck do we have a story to post so that we ALL can live vicariously through your hard work and enjoy pictures of your labor.

Either way, take pride in that one for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Chris, My only task here was to fix damage from an electrical fire.. I did not do the original restoration. Although the scope changed when we found some of the previous repairs did not meet our "standards". I told John it wasn't leaving my shop like that...

Yeah, a ramp body would have been more period correct, but the roll back bed was chosen for function over looks. He did have another F7 roll back before building this one. This truck actually came off his father's farm in upstate NY, where it had been bought new. He used to drive it prior to having a drivers license, almost 60 years ago.

Come out so well Robert.
Shame no one will know the time and effort it took just to make the repairs disappear and look stock! Still that is the sign of great work.

Thanks Marcus!

John got the truck loaded up today, ready for departing tomorrow for the show at the Frederick County Fairgrounds in Clear Brook, VA. I may have to take a ride on Friday and check out the show..

Great job Robert. That's a good set.

Bumper in leather ... I haven't seen it anywhere. Was that so or is it a new idea?

For checking oil, etc, it keeps footprints from scratching the top of the bumper
