1962 Mustang 1 concept mold/buck
After seeing some other bucks linked and sold here, maybe there's interest in this mold. Using the supposedly original mold to cast a positive to produce an alloy body for the spare Taunus V4 driveline you have sure would be cool.
Not my ad or any connection to seller. An email-only contact c/l ad, so may be legit or may be a scam.... https://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/pts...865845476.html Edit- here is prior ad from Milwaukee Craigslist from a couple wks ago, which corresponds to the shown map in Miami ad- https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/pts...853846117.html

I wondered about the total lack of reinforcement on the c/l mold. Dad had a major fixation on the original Mustang and thought "we" (translation me...) should build one ever since I can remember. He mentioned an old promo film of the build & I expect this is what he had seen decades ago.
Watching the mold-development portion of the film multiple times, I can't tell if the plaster, mat and 2x4 mother will detach from the surface register mold. If so it could be the original surface mold & be missing the mother. It certainly is clean of plaster.... without the original mother, accurate casting use is tough. But if it's legit, it still may provide good template info for making a station buck.
