Default Eckold no-mar beak shrinker and stretcher

no-mar beak shrinker and stretcher for HS80 or HS100. Both could use new face plates about $200 a set to replace. Normally these are over $4000 apiece.

Hi Adam,
Where would you order the face plates from?
Nice pair of beak-tools.

Ask Eckold. They will refer you to their suppliers.

Looking in the Eckold Catalog:

The part numbers are:
Shrinker jaw plate and stretcher is the same: 0030 204 8301

Googling the part number doesn't return anything So it looks to be a special order.

Nice tools wish I could afford them. Don't see how anyone can afford to spend that on a hand shrinker.

Easier said than done when you got bills to pay.

Chris, it's not from me, they have busines politics really up to so . They don't care what bills you pay.
They pay too and sell little. The product is technically refined and patented. The customer knows the limit of machines and tools. They do not support home improvement.
I understand this issue from both sides. But the prices are terrible. Technical support for older products minimal.
Have you recorded an Eckold representative who would advise anything for pure fan support during the entire operation of this site? I know it hasn't happened yet. Strange attitude.

I'm in touch with some aviation metal folks ...
One in Asia makes replacement sheetmetal parts for Airbus ... says CCP has tried to copy for years (no surprise at all) and has repeatedly failed .... so they bought another ... and then another ....
I called Eck, waay back in 1980 .... Trimmis Station loc. .... got cat.

and called several early US reps, 1980's ....

Dick Troutman knew the Piccolo... recommended it to serious auto fab guys .... and Marcel D. got one and it changed his style ....

years roll by ... more stock available now, finally. ... and more known ....

... and consistent noises from owners .....

(I like my handheld Marchant air power shrinker.)

Perhaps if more people and companies put less energy into developing their own machines and tools, making more money and buying Eckold without their own barriers, Eckold could make its products cheaper.
But he wouldn't get cheaper not by anyway ....

Several colleagues made their own tools and machines. It works for their needs. Reasonably well. I counted the hours of effort and thought, the material.
They told me that basically, thanks to high prices, they would never buy Eckold. They don't want from principle. Their costs exceeded the used machine ....

Eckold's policy forces individuals to think and motivate technically.

Do you have time for that? You don't. So buy it and don't waste your time in another field.
I was lucky. I only wasted time on EW. Nobody it not produced. Only Cass. It invent is great.
