This is an incredible build. Thanks for documenting all of the techniques you use to accomplish everything.

I talked to a friend of mine that is an auto/boat/private plane upholsterer and he advised using DAP Landau for these interior trim panels. Superior grip and heat resistant. If it's as good as he says, I'm in. He says "I put that $hi+ on everything."

This is an easy way to pour adhesive from a gallon can into a small container without gluing your shoes to the floor.

Three yards of vinyl that matches OEM. There are two versions available. One is more pliable and "Stretchy" than the other. I got that one because there are some very deep contours on this trim panel.

Typically, this adhesive would be sprayed using an automotive spray gun but the upper half of this panel is so complex that I decided to brush it on.
The reason is that the trick to this adhesive is to catch it right at the point where it has dried enough to be tacky to the touch without being wet enough to stick to your finger after touching it.
To avoid the adhesive drying before I can lay it down and work all these deep contours, I'm brushing it onto small areas one area roughly the size of a business envelope at a time. This is a game of patience.

Finally, reassembled. I put all the original CTS sound deadener and foam dampers back in. There's also a thick vapor barrier that goes in before the panel is mounted to the door.

It came out pretty good. Without the unaltered left panel to compare it to, It doesn't even look like it's been messed with. You can see that the profile is now a true rectangle rather than the wedge shape of the stock CTS panel.

Time to put this upholstery business on the shelf temporarily. I can do the other side after the car is painted. It's clean work. Right now I need to get this pile ready for paint.

Very nice Jack. I had thought of using the Camaro interior in the Austin. As it is I think I'll be able to use the window regulators so your experience with the track and having to shift to the wing windows is timely.

You shouldn't have to use vent windows on the Austin if you don't want to. Your windows roll down vertically. I needed to use vent windows because my A pillars lean forward.
