I think it is an improvement for sure. Love mods that leave people wondering if it is factory or not.

Wow, thank you! What a nice surprise being selected MSOTM! I really appreciate all the positive feedback and comments about the Rambler build. It’s come a long ways, but still has a long ways to go.
I’ll do a fairly large / picture heavy for this update that is focused on a foam mock-up for the front rollpan, front bumper and shaping the roll pan. If you remember waaay back, I modified some Corvette bumpers (sliced, diced and welded) to fit the rear of the body. That worked, but I was never happy with the results, and getting them metal finished for chrome would have been a lot more tedious work. For the front bumper (I’ll redo the rear later) I decided to fabricate them on my power hammer in 1/4 sections (top left half, bottom left, top right….) This front bumper turned out much nicer, with the weld seam only at the peak of the curve. Here I’ve begun shaping the sections of the front roll pan. I did this in a left, center air inlet) and right side.

Thank you everyone!
This update is the beginning stages of an engine surround / cover. The customers only request was that the supercharger lid was still visible. Initially he honestly didn’t want any sort of “cover”, but the engine is so “messy” it’s hard to have a clean look without covering up all the fuel rails, sensors, wiring harness, etc. In the end, he loved what I came up with (stay tuned)

Congratulations on MSOTM and your build.
Has the baileigh hammer made things like the hood bulge and apron easier to form?

To be honest the hood bulge was done just prior to the power hammer. The lower valance / roll pan was the first project I used it on, and it made it much easier with the heavy shrinking needed on the corners. Unfortunately the hammer came towards the end of a lot of the major shaping on this build, so it’s only been used on smaller misc. projects around the shop. I’m obviously still learning with it, but I’m very happy with the possibilities it’s opened for me.
