Default Good news about Beverly Shear Co.

Discovered on YouTube.

Mittler Bros has purchased entire Beverly Shear Co. , Including all drawings, stock, and mfg. equipment.

Promises to keep the tradition and supply all replacement parts into the future.

Default Beverly Shear Co, So. Chitown, ILL.

Good folks at Beverly. Quite the old shop to see, 1920's, with "basement passage" out the back, under alley and over to "used to be speakeasy" bldg.
Old wooden parts boxes etched "Beverly Shear Co."
And the back basement room with all the old first-run, last run, and proto stuff.
Penciled invoices.
Far cool.
Glad they got picked up by the Bros.

Default Good to know

My B2 has a cracked lower blade. Still works great, but someday I know I’m going to need to replace it.

Found a B3 rusting out behind a garage about 3 years ago. Tried to buy it, but she wouldn’t sell. Still there when I went by recently - hadn’t moved...

Of course I guess I shouldn’t be pointing fingers, I have some projects that are in the same place too.
