Default Just joined and I have a question.

I have just stumbled across this forum somehow and all I can say is WOW.

I am doing a bit of work on my r32 GTR skyline and I need cut a bit of rust out and plate it up. I have no bother with the welding side of things it is just trying to shape metal at home with limited tools. I can invest in a few small tool but obviously must be practical i.e cost v usage.

it's the only bit of rust I found on the whole car. But my problem is when I cut out the rusted bit how am I going to shape metal to roughly the same as what came out???? The rusted piece is just behind the back wheel at the bottom of the rear quarter. It is a 90degree bend/curve with a bit sticking out like an L

Would love to upload a picture but I can't for some reason

Any info greatly appreciated
