Wannabe from Utah!
Hello everyone! I am Cliff from Utah. I am 34 years old and have an addiction and fascination with older American cars. I write a cheesy blog, mainly to record my journey with these old cars. I also love art, especially creating or fabrication. I am a self-taught amateur of auto restoration and find myself yearning to learn sheet metal fabrication, mainly with steel.
I make patch panels and enjoy learning to use the poular tools like brake, shear and shrinker/stretchers. But I want to learn better the craftsmanship you people on this forum are mastering: Hammer and dolly, English wheel, hammer forming, bucks, heating and cooling, power hammers, etc. I look forward to soaking up all that you do here! |

Where in Utah are you located? Cris Boggess at UVU is one of the best fabricators I have met and is a really good learning tool if you're within reach of Orem.

I live just 20 minutes south of UVU, and I have heard lots of good about his work. He is always present at the UVU Car Show and Swap Meet, too. I often think I should try and fit one of his classes into my schedule!
