Default Beginner from Aus - Porsche 914

I am in the process of restoring a '76 Porsche 914 rolling chassis and converting to to RHD
I have restored a few cars before but have never done any bodywork.

The project has been subject to some shameful abuse and modifications by 'bodyworkers' in the past and I would like to bring it back close to standard and do it as well as possible.

There is no substitute for practice and experience but hope to get some helpful info from this forum

Invention is a combination of brains and materials.
The more brains you use, the less materials you need.

I have a 1972 914 that I want to restore, That is what got me into metalshaping. Still have not gotten the car finished, but I learned a lot about metalshaping. Which panels are you looking to create? Welcome aboard!

Jacob,

I have managed to acquire replacement panels in various condition, and just need to stick them together.

The RHD conversion requires pushing the RHS bulkhead forward and a new panel will need to be let in. That's one I will need to make for sure

I need to do some repairs to the panels and make new metal in some areas which have been terminally abused.

I spend a lot of time following the many bodywork threads on 914world.com

Thanks for the friendly welcome

David
