Mike - Wow! Love the lines and panel fitment. If I stay with the auto side of metal shaping my next project will be a full body on chassis. The info you share well make a hard task a little bit easier for someone going down this path.

Thanks Jack, I'm enjoying your project as well. My dad had a ,56 Coupe Deville when I was kid. The first car I ever drove. Always a Caddie fan!

Progress on the body has been slow because there is still chassis work to do. When I get stumped, I'll still get some sheet work done. Like these rocker/threshold structure pieces. There are 4 per side and they attach to inner rocker, stradle and support the exhaust tunnel, the attach the outer rocker/skin.

The original body will get cut and trimmed to accept the new skin then butt welded after most of the attaching structure is complete. This view illustrates how much wider the new body will be.
