Hi all,
I'm Michelle Lonnecker. Professionally I'm a network and systems admin, but for fun, I fabricate bits and pieces on my cars and friend's cars, boats and planes.

My girlfriends and I have restored a few exotic cars, converted a Pontiac Fiero to electric, and built a few replica cars.

My most well known car is my Ferrari 250 GTO replica, which is powered by a dry sump, race prepped BMW V12. In addition, we have a couple Ferrari 308s and a Lamborghini P250S.

I came here after following Joel's GTO project and am always trying to learn more to improve my fabrication skills.

Thanks!
That's one of the best things about a 308 though, for most work it's one of very few Ferraris that the engine can stay in! I was shocked to discover that when we did the clutch in one of them, both the engine and trans stayed in the car. Second easiest clutch replacement that I've ever done!

Hi,

Welcome to the group. A friend of mine had a 308, that I would help him with. When the water pump went out, we drove the truck down to the Ferrari dealer in North Chicago area to pick up the parts. When we got back to the hangar, I pulled the passenger side rear tire and inner wheel well to expose the pump. Easy, fun job a 308 is on my top ten list of cars to own... Some day...
