Hi Mike. I described my hand EW in this thread. Larger EWs in hand can combine all the tools from my large EWs.

Hi Jaroslav,

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry I should have been clearer. I'm interested in the hand held tool based on the vice grips. You appear to be using it as a bead roller to tip the edge of the aluminium sheet.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike. I use it to smooth the shape. It will lift its shape a bit where you need it. But it smoothes well shape.

Did you mean a hand tool with jaws? I don't have it.

I finished one back part and I hope that the shapes will follow smoothly.

Very impressive work! What for a car/brand it is? A question to you-> how you make the shrink of the last panel -with a kick shrinker or with thumbnail dies?

Moritz. I use Eckold and tools and EW. On the paper template you can see where it needs to be reduced and which line you have to follow.

Finally a return to the aluminum car. The customer has delivered the chassis and it is possible to continue. He delayed it. I invited an experienced welder.
He received training in from me-making and I received a welding lesson from him.
The places I wanted to level with a hammer, he elegantly leveled with the flame of autogen. He welded the body using the Tig method.

It's kind of amusing that you got leaned on so hard for a delivery date, and the customer waffled. Never seen that, before.

Thank you guys. Both the customer and I had different entertainment. I have worked on the house and other things and he is busy with his work in another field. He made the chassis himself with other suppliers. We have no time pressures. Just another race date in June .... There will be better photos in a week.
