Default Damnfingers - Gene Gillam

Hello all. I'm Gene Gillam and I live near the Mississippi Gulf Coast - but best of all I live near Joe Hartson (a member of this board).

I'm into older MG's (1940's) and Model A's, all of which by now have picked up their fair share of dents and dings. Previously I'd beat on 'em with a big hammer until I could get the dent small enough that I didn't have to use a whole gallon of bondo to fill it in but now Joe has taken me under his wing and I'm learning a bit of finesse in my metal shaping. We've repaired a couple of front fenders for one of the MG's and now, between home repairs and spring landscaping, we're working on a couple more. I'm still slow and awkward but I do feel I'm learning.

Heck, one of these days Joe might even trust me to do something on my own.
