Happy new year to you all!

Went further on the A-post, first check with the replacement part:


Marked where to cut:


And made some space and started the cleaning:


And removed the locking plate to take care of the broken screw and the Rust:




And cleaned, blasted, ..:


Mounted again, A-post all cleaned and primed:


And adjusted the replacement part..and welded it :


Here we are,no more rusted-through A-Post:




This part will come when adjusting the front fender:

Nice. You're a real sucker for punishment, but I can appreciate these pieces. Almost anyone can wheel up a panel, but going thru the grind of what you're doing and sticking with it is terrific.

So, continuing with the underdash part, I did repair it before, putting in position :

Yes the connection part to the heater channel so I am building it:

I enjoy the French mentality in the German barn.
You can never deny your origins.
Antonia, this is supposed to be fun. Always and in every corner of the globe, some way of doing things is linked to a place. Note the sometimes typed similar ideas. That's not bad. It's really funny how similar it is.
Someone would put twine, someone would put wire, Antonie a strap, the Japanese a digital polished bolt, etc...

Among other things I would handle it the same way. I just thought of comparing access in different areas of the world.
About 10 years ago I dealt with a temporary roof. I put 2 wooden pallets and a metal sheet on them. The wind turned it all upside down once, I put it back and secured it with a strap. It has been working ever since. If it lasts a little longer, I won't have to fix it anymore...
