Wow, that's quite an accomplishment. From someone who is just a peanut in the gallery, congratulations on a job well done, sir.
Very cool...

Nice resto.
And best congratulations on taking Peb'l. I've seen that car in old photos many times. Always wondered when it would make it onto the Peb'l reviewing stand. Same with the Flying Star that finally made it a couple few years back. Some images of another 2900 B that made it onto the Peb'l stand some time back ... TM Tech B Corto eng comp.jpg Engine compartment during final assy. TM Tech B Corto.jpg Rad shell (brass) after resto and plating, before paint TM Tech B Corto_shell_plated.jpg Final assy of the 2900B "Corto" (nickel plated suspension and ex-Grand Prix engine. Milan show car, 1938.) Yeehaw. Nice to see them being restored and shown in public. ![]() ![]()

I saw a post on Facebarf regarding spanner head bolts.
Similar to this: ![]() The author said that such things were used as early as the late 30's. If I can use something like this on my roadster and be period correct I probably would. Any comments yea or nay from you art deco restorers?

anyone have an idea where most of the photos in this thread have gone, specifically from 'Superleggera'? would love to see them.

Did something change in this hosting platform in how images are served up from other platforms? (Admin question) When I view the source code for the page, the URL to reference the images from my server does not appear within. Thus it is on the parser side of the hosting platform itself. note: Just looked at other places where I have shared photos out of the same directory over the past decade and I view them all. Thus an AllMetalShaping hosting platform issue specifically. |
