HI there, my name is Jake and I'm in a small town in north central Washington called Winthrop. I've been building cars since 15 and now have been in business working on vintage Volkswagens/Porsches for a few years. If any of you are on Instagram, check out @sledvw for whats going on in my shop.

I do quite a bit of simple shaping and fabrication, but I want to progress into much more complex shaping as I LOVE late 50's/60's race cars and hope to build one from scratch at some point.

thanks for having me!

Welcome to the forum Jake. I had a quick look at your Insta page and it shows you’re not scared of rust

Yes, very nice work. Good to see clean and thorough body rework.

Side note: The only VW bus I tangled with was a stretched unit that was used as a school bus ..... and then I later saw another VW bus, locally, that was shortened to a "stubby" model.

( I have always wondered if/whether the "synchro" was ever applied to the transporter? ... )
