The resurrection of my 1960 karmann ghia

Happy new year to you all!

Went further on the A-post, first check with the replacement part:


Marked where to cut:


And made some space and started the cleaning:


And removed the locking plate to take care of the broken screw and the Rust:




And cleaned, blasted, ..:


Mounted again, A-post all cleaned and primed:


And adjusted the replacement part..and welded it :


Here we are,no more rusted-through A-Post:




This part will come when adjusting the front fender:
