Steady boys, I think we should now play this one on the cool side, the seller has 2 posts to date. I know what that wheel should fetch in the open market and the wrong attention will only inflate its value.

PM what ever, think the moderators will know what going on in the back ground.

Just MHO about a great bit of kit.

Thanks everyone for the interest in my post.

I forgot to say it has a 36 inch throat.

The price I am looking for is around £4,000.

Crikey, that made my eyes water!
I hope you get your money.
I thought my mates similar wheel which he sold for £2800 was a bloody good price.
Im glad I bought my Edwards when I did - I thought £600 was plenty enough.
It was 10 years ago though.
Best of luck.
Let us know what you do sell it for, it will be nice to know where our hobby is going.

Looks like I was being a naive newbie, afraid that's well beyond my budget.

You can buy a brand new 42 inch throat Frost machine for 5435 GB Pounds. A Ranalah machine is likely to need work as the bottom of the post is set in lead and invariably these are worn and the post rocks. Factor the cost of that and sorting out the wheels and you are close to the cost of a new Frost. I guess you pay your money and take your choice.

I have idea. I have two railway rails remaining from my house. I will Another englisch wheels made the similar shape for a fraction of the price in near forge. The rest is detail. Some menus are inspiring.

Rick, if you look up ion the top right corner of his post his UK location is given. I would imagine shipping is gonna kill the deal for ya.

He also posted this a few posts up:
