Great styling there Dane. Has the owner got much input or is he leaving it up to yourself?

Thank you. I run ideas and such past him, but he’s pretty open and trustworthy to what I come up with.

Not 100% sure…I’ve got some ideas floating around in my head, I’ll see how they work out.

I’ll post another update here soonish, that shows how I mounted the inner fenders, and I might play off of that concept for the access hatches.

That looks good enough that with just a couple more panels the hood could be left off .

Equally impressed by the work and the gig, I salute you. One looks and the other sounds beautiful. That engine bay is something.

That must be the best customer to have, because it insures he's onboard but allows you artistic freedom and ability to use and exploit the skills of your choice, and produce something you're proud to have your name on.......certainly deserving in this case. Keep up the good work Dane. I always look forward and enjoy to your updates.

Best,
Kelly

A while back I decided to buy a 3D printer and see if I can slowly incorporate it into some work projects.

Here I modeled a mount for the front edge of the inner fender to radiator support. The mounts (two per side, top and bottom of radiator support) bolt to the support and have a rubber grommet in the inner fender edge to help act as a vibration isolator.

I think I’ll do some sort of “pegs” on the power steering access cover and have it friction fit into rubber grommets for ease of mounting and accessibility for maintenance.
