Looking for opinion on Eckold GL2 planishing hammer
recently someone recommended the Eckhold GL2 hand held planishing hammer. I looks like a great tool for body restoration but I would like to hear some opinions.

Very handy (pardon the pun). I use mine occasionally although perhaps not enough to justify the price. Ron Fournier has them on sale some times. www.fournierenterprises.com

Eckold
Ron Covell has one and uses it in his demo's to do flow forming. He said he's very happy with it.
I use a rivet gun based system for flow forming https://www.tinmantech.com/html/flow_forming_tools.php, and have used the dies for the air power hammer in the rivet gun for planishing as well. Key is controlling the air pressure. Issue with the air power hammer dies is they do not have a provision for retention in the gun (no ridge for the spring to work on) so you have to be careful not to drop them.

I have learned air hammers and rivet guns behave differently for planishing, but how does the GL2 differ from using a rivet gun?

Thanks guys.
Conner, i do not know exactly how they differ. so far as i know the mechanics work nearly the same. I have never used a rivet gun to planish tho..
