Default Hello from Virginia Beach, Virginia

Hello to all,

My name is Bob McClaren and I am a beginning metal shaper who retired from the U.S. Navy and have been working as a defense contractor for over 20 years. I am not a youngster but I love old MG cars and my own 1947 MGTC needs a great deal of metal shaping so I am trying to learn and do. I attended a MetalCraft three-day metal shaping introduction class and have collected some of the metal shaping tools. Am currently trying to learn how to fusion weld with O-A as seen on Dave Gardiner's DVD. I have actually made several decent welds without using a filler rod but am not proficient enough to go try it on my MG.

I will have questions but mostly I will read the posts to learn more.
