Default New Bodywork book from sweden!

Hi everybody,

last weekend i was visiting a kustomshow here i sweden, where i found these new bodywork books, writen by Bengt Blad, a well known metalshaper in sweden with over 40 years experience in bodywork.
These books have together 1500! pages, in words one thousand (and) five hundred.
He discribes almost anything that has to do with bodywork in detail, all handtools and machines, grinding, working with lead, welding, ... you name it.

The books are made with passion, full off illustrations made by the autor himself, really good pictures, printed in sweden, published by him self.

and writen in swedish

you can order them att www.bladsforlag.com

Price is 960 SEK, a US dollar is worth about 6.50 SEK now so it should turn out to about $148 (without shipping).

I'll add it to my wishlist!

I don't think you would have to know swedish.
Lazze couldn't read english when he was first intrested in metal shaping. He just went by pictures. He did miss the print about using a hammer and bag to rough shape. Looks like it worked pretty good for him!
Now if I use the reverse Lazze aproach I just might be onto something.
Hummmmmmmmmm.

I just got my copies today from UPS. I've only had time to do a cursory run through, but this work can be described as an absolute masterpiece. There is a stunning amount of knowledge, art work, photography, tips, and techniques in it. Bengt gave up being a doctor to become a metal shaper, his passion, and he dissects metal shaping with the skill of a surgeon. Utterly breathtaking.

I paid about $185 US to have them shipped, and they got here very quickly although the US Customs folks cut open the box as they often do now. You want something USEFUL for Christmas? This is it.

I just ordered a copy of the english translation. At first I balked at the shipping, but then I realized the weight was about 10 lbs. That's a lot of book!
