Introduction new member!
Hello,
My name is Mikey, Im from the Uk but I live in Paris, France. I am a furniture maker, mainly building other peoples designs and commissions. I work with metal as well as wood and have recently began doing a bit of forming as a project for a lamp took me there! I built a small, basic English wheel for my first project but now Im building 2.0 for future projects! Mainly looking for tips and tricks for the English wheel as well as build tips in general. I'll likely post my project in the making up here, let me know what you think!! Mikey (Michael Moore - not that one)

Hi Michael. You are in the right place. When I was building EW I found inspiration and described it in my thread. Quality EW is not a tradition here. Ultimately, I found the benefit of variability and quick tool changes in my EW.

Thanks Jaroslav!
I had a look at your build, looks a lot more impressive than what im going for but I like to think that I could repurpose some sort of cast frame at some point also. Looks great!!

Yes Mickey, you will definitely have more options. We don't have a tradition of EW. But in the end it's an advantage. Great variability in my EW. I use soft wheels and everything that spins. No stress.
