Hello all, I came across this site while searching for thoughts on building some homemade tools. I am trying to build up my garage to handle all of my Jeep building needs and to also get my 13 year old son out in the garage and teach him some skills that will last him a lifetime.

Welcome to the forum, Ken!
Normally a more responsive bunch, but I think things quieted down some over the holiday. What generation Jeep(s) are you interested in?

I am all over the map on them. My wife has a ‘98 TJ she bought in 2000 that I did a frame swap on a few years ago. I have a ‘04 LJ that is my daily driver. I also have a ‘88Comanche I am restoring at the moment and we just added a ‘83 Scrambler to the family that my son is going to restore over the next couple of years before he gets his license. I have a milling machine, lathe, Mig welder, etc… in my garage but really want to get into the sheet metal aspect since Jeeps are constantly needing metal repair. My personal favorite jeeps are CJs. Just something about the bare necessities that I have always loved about driving them.
