Any problems with the heavy rains last few days?

The flooding was west of Nashville. Nothing serious at Jim's (or me). Spoke to Jim earlier this evening about some carpentry he needs done before the event.

Any camping close by?
Is there a campground within 10 miles? Debating on if I want to drive back and forth to Harvest, get a room or pitch a tent.

GREAT event. Weather has been perfect but hot. Air Conditioning in all of the shop makes it nice.
Steve Hamilton organized seminars. Dan Pate cooked great breakfasts and lunch. Jim's friends have kept us well fed in the evenings. Long days as usual. Some guys staying until the wee hours...like 4am. Not me. Mike Stinson brought his double headed power hammer and last night he and Mike Philips did a very well received power hammer seminar. Stan Fulton demoed pullmax tools. If anyone was bored, it was because the weren't trying. There was always something going on. Pat Brubaker debuted the new Imperial Power Multipurpose machine. Sickness right there! I got to finally lay hands on my first 26F since Pat purchased Imperial. He has made some very significant improvements! Respect! Good batch of door prizes today and more for tomorrow as well as a couple raffles from Mike at Ace Chassis and Pat from Imperial. ALL proceeds go to Jim. A few photos. I'll try to remember to take more tomorrow. 20210826_155817_compress46.jpg 20210826_155749_compress12.jpg 20210826_155824_compress59.jpg

random pics from the meet
It was great to see everyone again, and every year seems to get better. Thanks again to Jim for his generousity, opening his shop, and putting up with all the chaos.

Was definitely a good event. I met some great people and learned some new skills. Looking forward to the next one.
Special shout out to David and Tim for the AWESOME food throughout the event. Those guys really knocked it out of the park. Tim, i hope you get to feeling better and recover from Covid soon. |
