Thanks !
Next update! ![]() After the welding primer dryed out, it was time to tack weld the airbox, only a couple tacks at the beginning to check it assembled: ![]() Seems to fit good: ![]() ![]() Then I put the repro "tunnel" for the back part..and it was totally wrong. I compared it with my original..and for sure it was way off... I then made some cut to "adapt" it: ![]() ![]() and welded some tab to keep the position: ![]() Then it was a matter of filling the space by creating the missing part and tig welding it: ![]() ![]() now it fits: ![]() ![]() ![]() and then I removed the old storage primer, put some primer on it and then some paint in the OG color except where welding comes (I put there some welding primer!): ![]() ![]() and then some on the body counterpart: ![]() Cheers Antoi

Some progress to report finally !
I made some progress on my 60 only (screw connections!) horns: As received: ![]() ![]() Disassembly: ![]() Sandblasting, inclusive the screws: ![]() ![]() Fresh paint and reassembly: ![]() ![]() ![]() So, second one is done: ![]() ![]() Now to work on the shell to have somewhere to screw them in ![]() And then started to create some metal patches: Here we see the rust: ![]() So preparing some steel: ![]() It first gets worse.. ![]() ![]() And then better: ![]() ![]() Then it was time to put the beads.. All the material pictured here: ![]() And here we go: ![]() ![]() Now some fine tuning left and it will be ready to weld, but I will weld it when all the surrounding is ready: ![]() ![]() Stay in touch, news coming soon ! Antoine

Nice work Antoine. (And a lot of it!). When you are finished with the structural welding I suggest you fog the potential water trap areas with cavity wax using this type of extension. The brass tip on the end of the hose has tiny holes drilled in it and shoots a mist of wax that stays soft. It will seep over time and surround your plug welds. It's flammable so wait till you are finished with welding to apply.
