Jack,
Goodguys has a class for home built cars that are built by the owner that doesn't have a unlimited budget.I feel sure that you would have had a good chance of winning. Another class is cars that are driven ,not trailer queens. Thanks for letting us watch and sharing. Eddie

Congratulations on finishing (well….they are never actually finished) build! It’s amazing to see what it started as, and where it’s at now! Looks great!
The yellow stickers on the headlights at GoodGuys events doesn’t mean that it was judged, instead they mean that it was an award winner. I was just down to Des Moines GoodGuys over the 4th with this ‘62 IH Scout project we recently finished up in our shop. I always enjoy the GoodGuys events.

I've been in awe of this build since the beginning. The photos looked really good but a couple of times i wasn't 100% sure about a few proportions..
Now seeing it in video in good light it truly is stunning ! I love it so much ! Thanks for posting that video, so great to see the car in the flesh in the real world. Jack did you ever consider a hood ornament of some type ? There is a lot of glossy black sheet there. Its unbelievable that the knowledge and skill to build this car all reside in one man. I mean, the sheet metal shaping almost seems like the most basic part of this car. I think I was the most blown away when you just casually started making lost wax molds for your rear tail lights. |
